Key Features in Snowflake Summit’21

In case you missed, here’s my take on the key announcements made about the new features — both Public and Private Preview — made last week — June 9th-10th in its 3rd Annual Snowflake Summit. The agenda was filled with key features, demos and fireside-chats.

For the sake of simplicity, I have distilled the following key announcements and that way, whatever be your industry, you can note the positive impact that you can have my leveraging the features.

This might be one of the few times (if not the only time), we are witnessing the AWS re:Invent roll into the 3rd week ! Key elements so far

  1. AWS CloudShell: Interact with your AWS resources at the command line (the old fashioned way)
  2. Amazon CodeGuru is a developer tool that has two main components: Reviewer for program analysis and machine learning and Profiler for runtime performance data
  3. AWS Audit Manager to support an audit can be a significant challenge due to manual, error-prone, and sometimes, distributed processes.
  4. New deployment option in Amazon EMR that allows customers to automate the provisioning and management of open-source big data frameworks on EKS.
  5. Finally, keynote by Werner Vogels today were focused on infrastructure management and observability tools. Also focus was on AWS tools were designed to address network complexity,
